Outland Denim stands as a beacon of positive change in the fashion industry, resolute in its commitment to making a positive impact by empowering people and protecting the planet through an ecosystem of purpose-driven brands:
Outland Denim, Maeka Standard, and Huskland. Now, it proudly welcomes Nobody Denim into the family – a company with 25 years of heritage in the denim industry and more than 60 000 customers.
“The level of consolidation and market penetration that the Nobody brand acquisition allows us as a
Group will amplify our ability to deliver positive outcomes almost immediately,” said Outland Denim
founder and CEO, James Bartle.
On 17 October 2023, the Group launched a new capital raising campaign, running on equity crowdfunding platform Birchal, allowing investors to not only own a stake in the brands, but become an integral part of the Outland story.
Growing market share will allow Outland Denim to employ more vulnerable women and amplify its impact.
The campaign will be the company’s third equity crowd fund, which has seen almost 2,000 shareholders join Outland Denim in its mission to bring greater equality and environmental responsibility to the fashion industry.
The campaign model is designed to activate social and environmental change with every product purchase. On the social front, the model creates a cycle of freedom for its manufacturing team, many of whom have faced exploitation, transforming lives through ethical employment.
Environmentally, it is reimagining production methods by drastically cutting energy, water, and chemical usage. “This campaign marks a significant milestone as we expand our reach and mission to empower more women. Our sights are now firmly set on global expansion for both Outland and Nobody Denim, solidifying our leadership in sustainable fashion on a global stage,” said James.
“However, this move doesn’t just benefit our artisans and the environment; it amplifies the value proposition for our investors. Imagine the possibilities-more vulnerable people empowered, more communities transformed. The impact we can make together is exponential.”
